Common Faults and Solutions of LED Display Screens


A. Display screen not working, sending card green light flashing (made retractable)

1. Fault causes:

a. No power supply to the screen body;

b. Network cable not properly connected;

c. Receiving card has no power supply or power voltage is too low;

d. Sending card is faulty;

e. Signal transmission intermediate device connection or fault (e.g., function card, fiber optic transceiver box);

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Check and confirm the screen body power supply is normal;

2) Check and reconnect the network cable;

3) Ensure the power DC output supply is between 5-5.2V;

4) Replace the sending card;

5) Check connection or replace the function card (fiber optic transceiver box);

 

B. Display screen not working, sending card green light not flashing

1. Fault causes:

a. DVI or HDMI cable not properly connected;

b. Copy or extend mode not set in the graphics card control panel;

c. Software has selected to turn off the large screen power;

d. Sending card not properly inserted or sending card has issues;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Check DVI cable connector;

2) Reset copy mode;

3) Software selects to turn on the large screen power;

4) Reinsert or replace the sending card;

 

C. On startup, prompt "Large screen system not found"

1. Fault causes:

a. Serial port cable or USB cable not connected to the sending card;

b. Computer COM or USB port is faulty;

c. Serial port cable or USB cable is faulty;

d. Sending card is faulty;

e. USB driver not installed;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Confirm and connect the serial port cable;

2) Replace the computer;

3) Replace the serial port cable;

4) Replace the sending card;

5) Install the new version software or separately install the USB driver;

 

 

D. Long strips at the same height as the light board do not display or partially do not display, color missing

1. Fault causes:

a. Flat ribbon cable or DVI cable (applicable to Submarine series) has poor contact or is disconnected;

b. At the junction, the previous output or the latter input of the display light board has issues;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Reinsert or replace the ribbon cable;

2) First identify which display module has a fault, then replace or repair it;

 

E. Some modules (3-6 pieces) do not display

1. Fault causes:

a. Power protection or damage;

b. AC power cable has poor contact;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Test and confirm power supply is normal;

2) Reconnect the power cable;

 

F. Entire cabinet does not display

1. Fault causes:

a. 220V power supply cable not properly connected;

b. Network cable transmission issues;

c. Receiving card damaged;

d. HUB board inserted incorrectly;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Check power supply cable;

2) Confirm and replace network cable;

3) Replace receiving card;

4) Reinsert HUB;

 

G. Entire screen has noise dots, image jittering

1. Fault causes:

a. Incorrect driver loading program;

b. Network cable between computer and screen is too long or poor quality;

c. Sending card faulty;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Reload the receiving card files;

2) Shorten network cable length or replace it;

3) Replace sending card;

 

H. Entire display screen shows the same content on every display unit

1. Fault causes: No sending display screen connection file;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods: Reset the sending screen connection file, and when sending, connect the computer's network cable to the sending card's output port near the indicator light;

 

 

I. Display screen brightness is very low, image is blurry.

1. Fault causes:

a. Sending card program error;

b. Function card settings incorrect;

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Restore sending card default settings and save;

2) Set the display screen monitoring minimum brightness value above 80;

 

J. Entire screen image shakes or has ghosting

1. Fault causes:

a. Check communication cable between computer and large screen;

b. Check multimedia card and sending card DVI cable;

c. Sending card faulty.

2. Fault troubleshooting methods:

1) Reinsert or replace communication cable;

2) Reinsert and secure DVI cable.

3) Replace the sending card.
